WOODBROOK ASSISTED LIVING RESIDENCE is Hiring a Dietary Aide Near Elmira, NY

Description

General Job Description

Participate in the daily operation of the Dietary Department to provide daily nutritional requirements to residents and guests. Assist with maintaining sanitary work site environment.

Essential Functions

  • Consistently demonstrate the core values and mission of the facility.
  • Set-up Dining area according to established requirements.
  • Prepare Dining area for special guests.
  • Know resident diet plans and place settings.
  • Serve meals to residents and quests as required.
  • Clean and stock each kitchenette.
  • Complete daily sanitation requirements following established procedures.
  • Assist cooks in meal preparation and service.
  • Store laundry in correct location.
  • Take soiled linens to laundry and pre-treat.
  • Store inventory in correct locations.
  • Must maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Actively encourage and promote quality customer service and teamwork on a daily basis.
  • Assist with special functions as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of completion of two (2) years of high school or equivalent.
  • Works well with diverse resident and employee population.
  • Adapt to change in resident requirements.
  • Ability to recall and follow instructions.
  • Must meet all pre-employment requirements including physical, TB test, drug screen, and fingerprinting.

Desired:

  • Food Service experience helpful.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly speak, see or hear.
  • Frequently sit, stand, walk, use fingers to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally lift, move, push, carry or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Other Duties

  • Assume additional responsibilities as needed and directed.
