Job Title: Field Supervisor

Reports To: Operations Manager
FSLA: Non-Exempt
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Field Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day
operations which may include staffing, scheduling, ensuring maintenance of equipment and
supplies, internal communications, budgetary considerations, outside agency interface, and
community relations. The Field supervisor is designated as a hybrid on-line/offline position and
shall function as the second half of the paramedic interceptor unit.
JOB RESPONISBILITIES:
Ensure day to day truck and supply maintenance is completed as outlined in company
protocols including, but not limited to: glucometers, bio-cleaning and truck inspections
Promote a positive and inviting progressive EMS environment that embodies Wood’s
Ambulance traditions
Complete shift reports in an efficient and timely manner
Ensure the safety of crew members and patients in strict conformance to all applicable
guidelines and protocols while on shift
Mentor employees conduct performance evaluations if applicable, counsel and provide
disciplinary actions to assigned personnel with a goal of developing a team-oriented approach
with positive results.
Submit reports on all incidents, accidents, work related injuries and exposures as assigned
Participate in interviewing and selection process as needed
May work additional hours outside assigned shifts in urgent situations, visiting facilities
within region or on special circumstances as assigned by Management. All time completed
outside normal shifts must be logged
Maintain open communication with all crew members by listening to and addressing crew
concerns as appropriate and escalating to Operations Manager as needed
Maintain employee confidentiality when interacting with staff at all times
Facilitate two-way communication on all issues or concerns with Field Crews with the
Operations Manager by completing incident reports, providing updates on actions taken and
outcomes
Maintain open communication with all crew members by listening to and addressing crew
concerns as appropriate
Maintain paperwork and report all disciplinary issues or concerns to the Operations Manager
Investigate incidents as assigned and communicate with the Operations Manager on status of
assigned units and other needs or problems
Attend external and internal meetings as needed/required
Monitor the day to day appearance and condition of trucks to include, but not limited to: fuel
level, general cleanliness both inside and out and storage of all gear
Assist and Support Shift Supervisors with the completion of their duties
Assist with keeping operation running smoothly and in cooperation with each department by
communicating effectively
Ensure open communication in regards to all vehicles needing service with Dispatch and
Maintenance
Act as role model on shift to ensure all employees are upholding company standards and
policies
Uphold and enforce company S.O.P
At all times ensure the chain of command is followed and upheld
Perform other duties as assigned by Management
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Paramedic
Valid and current Driver’s License in good standing
Valid and current state required EMS-Paramedic level Certification(s) as required
