The Assistant Project Manager (APM) assists the project team leader in planning, execution, delivery, close out and the overall success of a specific project(s). The APM is responsible for assisting coordinating and managing the construction process from start through close-out. The APM works with the Project Manager to assist design efforts, solicit and qualify bids, develop contract documents, manage construction documents, expedite materials, ensure quality and help manage the overall construction process. The APM reports to the Senior Project Manager or Regional Construction Manager. The following is a general outline of the responsibilities of the Assistant Project Manager:
