A Brief Overview

The Video Producer at Wood-Mizer is a key member of the marketing team who is skilled in all levels of video production and photography and creates compelling visual content that is shared through various channels.

What you will do

• Hands-on coordination of all facets of video and photo production—planning, preproduction, production, and postproduction.
• Analyze and make technical and creative decisions, including, but not limited to, location/setting, appropriate lighting, use of filters, shooting angle, type of microphone and product placement
• Coordinate with multiple departments to produce engaging visual content including, but not limited to, videos, photos, renders, and animations.
• Ensures videos and photos are of the highest quality and maintains consistency of brand and market leading status
• Works closely with Senior Video Producer to provide premium quality content for websites, emails, social media, etc.
• Organize, move, and maintain production equipment alongside Senior Video Producer.
• Implement best practices for data management and cataloging
• Match footage from locations, sources, times of day, and color temperature
• Record voice overs to be used on brand videos.
• Research music and manage music rights for videos.
• Video delivery for marketing, sales, communication, information, and training.
• Direct people to capture specific action and events for the camera.
• Maintain an efficient post-production workflow.
• Coordinate, manage and ensure timely delivery of all video requests.
• Produce videos in various formats for different media.
• Oversee that the quality of the end product meets company expectations.
• Willingness to travel.

Education Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Cinematography, Film/Video Production or Moving Image Arts Pref

Experience Qualifications

• 1-3 years Relevant Work Experience Required

Skills and Abilities

• Sense for identifying story ideas and using editing skills to best tell the story to an audience. (High proficiency)
• Ability to explain creative decisions and positive acceptance of project contributions added by others. (High proficiency)
• Experience with Super35 or Full Frame cinema style cameras (Sony a plus), mirrorless photo/video cameras, camera stabilizing systems, and other camera rigging gear. (High proficiency)
• Knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Encoder, Photoshop). (Medium proficiency)
• Proficiency in editing, color correction & grading, audio mixing. (Medium proficiency)
• Ability to make quick decisions, willingness to adapt to fluid situations, and use challenges as creative opportunities. (Medium proficiency)
• Knowledgeable in shooting/editing/coloring Log footage. (Medium proficiency)
• Familiarity with basic After Effects animation. (Low proficiency)
• Understand video codecs and file formats for video delivery. (Low proficiency)
