Seeking a System Engineer 6 to perform as part of a team supporting the development of the Tactical Edge Platform.

Security Clearance Requirements:

This position requires all candidates to be U.S. Citizens and possess an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with a Polygraph.

Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for the software development and design methodologies to build and conduct simulations in different computer environments. Strong troubleshooting and performance evaluation skills are essential. Must be capable of working independently and possess solid communication skills to collaborate with others to ensure all tasks are completed. Ability to research new technologies and stay motivated as priorities frequently shift.

Qualifications

Required Education & Years of Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See Note 2) from an accredited college or university plus twenty (20) years of systems engineering experienceOR
• A High School Diploma or GED plus twenty-four (24) years of general systems engineering experience (any Process Area).OR
• A Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See Note 2) from an accredited college or university plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experienceOR
• A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See Note 2) from an accredited college or university plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience.*Note 1 – Examples of Qualified engineering fields include: Aeronautics, Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Nuclear, Software, Systems, and Engineering Management.*Note 2 - Examples of related disciplines include: Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, and Physics

Required Skills

• Extensive hands-on experience supporting Cloud-native systems.
• Extensive experience with at least two Cloud platforms.
• Experience managing or working as part of Agile development teams.
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts.
• Familiarity supporting large-scale distributed systems.
• Providing technical oversight.
• Overall design and integration.
• Working with the program team to build business processes.
• Assessing hardware/software selections.
• Validating compliance and cross-organization integration.
• Evaluating technical feasibility of solutions derived from customer requirements.
• Identifying environmental, technical, and policy constraints.
• Validating adherence in product deliverables.
