Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker to join our team. As a Cabinet Maker, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing cabinets and other wooden furniture. This is a hands-on role that requires expertise in woodworking techniques and the ability to work with various tools and materials.

Duties:

- Measure, cut, and shape wood pieces according to specifications

- Assemble cabinets and furniture using hand tools and power tools

- Install hardware such as hinges, handles, and knobs

- Sand and finish surfaces to ensure a smooth and polished appearance

- Repair damaged cabinets or furniture by replacing parts or making necessary adjustments

- Collaborate with designers and clients to understand project requirements

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Skills:

- Proficiency in woodworking techniques, including cutting, shaping, and joining wood

- Knowledge of different types of wood and their properties

- Experience with hand tools and power tools used in cabinet making

- Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings

- Attention to detail and precision in measurements and assembly

- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues during construction or repair

- Familiarity with different finishes and staining techniques for wood surfaces

- Knowledge of related trades such as drywall, fixture installation, masonry, electrical, etc.

- Experience with CNC machines is a plus
