Women's Imaging Specialists is Hiring a Patient Financial Coordinator Near Foley, AL

Well-established women's medical imaging organization seeking a Patient Financial Coordinator to work in our Foley, AL office.

Women's Imaging Specialists currently have 13 physical locations in GA and AL that provide state-of-the-art 2D / 3D diagnostic medical imaging services specializing in digital mammography and breast ultrasound. 

The primary responsibility for this role is to review patient insurance benefits and insurance requirements for all scheduled diagnostic imaging exams. This position will contact the appropriate insurance company via telephone and/or insurance website for the purpose of identifying patient eligibility, obtaining information regarding deductibles, co-payments and co-insurance amounts due for diagnostic breast imaging, general ultrasound and x-ray, documenting all information in the patient’s account. Candidate will make patient outreach call to notify patient of their Out Of Pocket responsibility.

GENERAL SUMMARY

  • Verify patient's insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorization when needed
  • Call patients to inform them of their OOP responsibility
  • Referral management; coordination of benefits
  • Document all pertinent information with patient and payer as it relates to the verification of benefits
  • Utilize third-party payer/insurance portals
  • Handle in bound and out bound calls
  • Other related duties as required

REQUIREMENTS

Must be a High School graduate (or equivalent) and have at least 2 years of related work experience in a physician's office.

  • Proficiency in basic Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability and willingness to learn our scheduling and EMR software.
  • Must have 1-2 years' experience in a medical office setting with billing/insurance verification
  • Experience with obtaining authorizations
  • Ability to prioritize, problem solve, and multitask
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Phone and customer service experience
  • Strong work ethic

COMPENSATION:

  • Employer pays 75% of the health insurance premium for the employee and offer spouse or family coverage at employee cost.
  • 80 hours/year Paid Time Off for years 1 & 2; 120 hours/year starting year 3 plus 8 paid holidays!
  • 401k plan with a minimum of 4% employer contribution (2019).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
