WNCSource is a non-profit organization with multiple child care centers providing services to Early Head Start, Head Start, and NC Pre-K (preschool) children across four counties in beautiful western North Carolina. We have several openings for Early Childhood Infant Support Teachers.

This is a Part Time non exempt 12 month position scheduled Monday - Friday 9:00am to 1:00pm. The pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.

Early Head Start Infant Support Teacher responsibilities include:

• Engaging in classroom activities and teaching in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the WNCSource Head Start program building and maintaining a positive, nurturing, and supportive relationship with the children and families.

• Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the classroom and on the playground.
• Assist in providing high-quality supplemental support, responsive caregiving and educational experiences in an Early Head Start setting. Provide staff breaks, classroom coverage, kitchen aid and other center support as needed.

What will you need?

Minimum: High School Diploma/GED and commitment to work towards Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Infant Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA), or Infant Toddler Care Certificate

Preferred: Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education
