Your Impact:

At WNA Engineering, the ideal candidate will have some experience or understanding of the construction industry and an interest in electrical design to effectively understand how to execute our vision and mission. Serving as the Junior Electrical Designer, you will be an asset in supporting the design of a variety of projects from the many industries we serve. The Junior Electrical Designer will report directly to the Vice President of Engineering.

Electrical Designer Priorities

• Assist in the design of commercial and industrial electrical power and other lighting projects under the supervision of the Project Engineers and Firm Principals
• Develop accurate designs/drawings that comply with all applicable codes and company drafting standards, practices, and procedures
• Collaborate and coordinate internally with the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering, and design teams
• Prepare technical reports, edit specifications, undertake technical investigation studies, and assist with power coordination studies.
• Participate in the QA/QC process, milestone design review and inter-discipline cross-checking
• Coordinate time and schedule to work on multiple projects concurrently
• Participate in all scheduled team communication, meetings, and trainings

What You Need

• Minimum Associates or Technical Degree in Architectural or Electrical Engineering, Construction or similar
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience designing electrical systems specific to the MEP and Construction Industry
• Professional Experience using AutoCAD and Revit 2018 or newer
• Knowledge or willingness to learn building, utility, and energy codes
• High Level of Personal Integrity and Honesty with one’s ability
• Propensity for Critical Thinking and Problem Solving
• Effective Verbal and Written Communications skills
• EIT Certification a plus!
