SUMMARY:
Repairs and maintains electrical and electronic components of production machines and equipment.Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical components as required. Has knowledge of electrical regulations and codes. Ability to interpret electrical schematic diagrams. Has basic knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Assist Plant Manager in the design and improvements of plant, equipment and control systems as needed.Express complex ideas both orally and in written form.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provides training to production staff on the troubleshooting and maintaining of equipment.
Evaluates the operating systems and offers improvement suggestions and assist in any redesign initiatives.
Assist in inventory control and maintenance stores as required.
Observes and listens to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunction and determine need for adjustment or repair.
Disassembly of machine or electrical equipment to examine parts for defects or to remove defective parts.
Inspects, measures and tests parts to determine effective operation.
Removes and replaces worn or defective parts with new parts, or repair electrical and electronic systems and drives.
Realigns, adjust and calibrate components.
Installs new and used equipment as required using appropriate installation materials and methods.
Assembles, test and operates machinery to verify the correction of a malfunction.
Basic ability to solder.
Any other task that may be assigned by Management.

EDUCATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE
Two year certificate from college or technical school or five to seven years experience and /or training or a combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports, complex technical notes and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumferences, volume.Ability to apply concepts of geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized and unique situations.
