**Overview:**

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Optometric Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and possess knowledge of optical procedures and terminology. We are seeking someone comfortable speaking Spanish in a healthcare setting.

**Responsibilities:**

- Perform preliminary testing on patients such as measuring vital signs and conducting visual acuity tests.

- Assist optometrists with eye examinations and contact lens fittings.

- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage.

- Handle retail sales of eyewear, lenses, and accessories.

- Utilize knowledge of retail math to process payments and provide accurate pricing information.

- Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

- Assist with medical billing procedures.

- Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance coverage.

**Qualifications:**

- Experience in patient care within a medical or optical setting is preferred.

- Knowledge of optical procedures, medical terminology, and HIPAA regulations.

- Familiarity with medical billing processes is a plus.

- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle retail sales effectively.

- Proficiency in front desk operations within a medical office environment.
