POSITION PURPOSE
Business management of the Auxiliaries (Portable Dryers, TCU’s, Chillers, Granulators, Blenders, and Material Handling Equipment) product lines marketed by Wittmann. Mainly responsible for technical communication with Wittmann vendors, technical communication to sales staff, proper application and sizing, profitability, resolution of product issues, costing models/price lists, inventory management and product training for the auxiliary product lines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Work with Division Manager to develop annual business plan for product line including stocking, margin targets, and product releases.
2. Support outside and inside sales staff. Provides product, service, and equipment information by answering questions and requests.
3. Act as primary liaison within Wittmann global facilities and your counterparts. Communicate updates in costing, inventory, engineering and service. Provide product and market focus feedback to other Wittmann facilities for development purposes. Drive changes and results as needed for the USA market.
4. Develop, monitor, and maintain inventory stocking plan at Torrington facility and technical centers as applicable. Adjust stocking requirements and applicable as market or financial conditions change.
5. Review and monitor costing of equipment. Work with Division Manager to manage pricing of equipment.
6. CRM Administration of articles, blurbs and pricing.
7. Assist in the generation of auxiliary equipment proposals with the inside sales team to ensure proper equipment specifications, terms, and delivery.
8. Support sales efforts for managed products by making sales calls and presentations at potential customers.
9. Use product knowledge to properly size and specify equipment for each customer’s application.
10. Provide initial product “start-up” and operation training for new sales as appropriate.
11. Develop OEM relationships.
12. Research competitive products and perform analysis vis a vis Wittmann offerings. Generate feedback with regard to strengths and weaknesses, (SWOT), of Wittmann items as well as competitive pricing analysis.
13. Sign-up and conduct technical seminars and papers to drive “Wittmann as the Auxiliaries Expert”.
14. Periodically evaluate effectiveness of selling tools, design and implement changes/improvements as appropriate to sales organization.
15. Provide product development group with input for creating new products to enhance the existing product line. Make recommendations for modifying existing products to improve features, reduce cost, and/or extend useful service life.
16. Participate and host in Auxiliaries seminars and selected shows and exhibitions where Wittmann products are featured and presented.
17. Track quotations, proposals and perform appropriate analysis to identify opportunities for growth and areas where improvement is required.
18. Track opportunities and shipments in order to determine ultimate destination, customer, industry segment served, shipments by product line, shipments by model, etc.
19. Review requests for warranty shipments and or warranty repairs for managed product line.
20. Manage units shipped to field as loaners and trials. Periodically review units under evaluations.
21. Maintain a "Customer Friendly" attitude whenever dealing with customers internally and externally.
22. Travel 20%-25%.
23. Expense reports due in detailed, professional manner, within the month (4 weeks of travel).
24. Must be able to travel Nationally and Internationally.
