About Wittenberg University

A Lutheran-affiliated liberal arts college in the heart of Southwest Ohio, Wittenberg enjoys a national reputation for excellent academic standards, a strong athletic tradition, and is widely known for its friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Visitors to our campus will recognized quickly why its one of America's most beautiful. Inside the classroom, students find professors who understand that personal attention makes a huge difference in how students learn. The fact that many encourage conversation after class or host gatherings in their homes only supports their passion for teaching and their de...sire to ensure students' success. In addition to offering course work in the humanities, arts and sciences, Wittenberg also offers distinct academic programming in non-traditional areas in most liberal arts colleges, including business, nursing, education, and exercise science. Students who attend Wittenberg tend to rank in the top quarter of their high school class, and many are fully engaged leaders, who are involved with everything from student government to athletics. Its no surprise that Wittenberg has more than 120 active clubs to cultivate all interests, as well as 25 varsity sports that compete at the highest levels in NCAA Division III. While the academic program is rigorous, students are, in general, more collaborative than they are competitive. There is a real sense of community learning at Wittenberg that happens not only between students, but also with their professors. Academic integrity is part of the universitys mission and is taken seriously by students and faculty. Outside the classroom, students who succeed at Wittenberg tend to be adventurous. Most students will participate in an internship experience, or study abroad at some point. Others will do summer research or an independent study. See if Witt is your fit. #HavingLight More
