WITRON Service America LP is Hiring a Coordinator on site Near Arlington, IL

The Construction On Site Coordinator serves as the primary project coordinator for the WITRON teams on US Project sites.

Coordinating with the Building General Contractor, Construction Supervisor, Project Managers, and Installation Teams, a successful Construction Manager will work with our internal and external partners to ensure the adherence of the project with the timeline set in the contract.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Establishing the general project timeline in coordination with the appropriate departments and partners as well as the adjustment of the timeline throughout the entire project.
  • Responsible for leading the Detail Design process and construction planning from Client Contract through installation of the automation system
  • Support internal "Purchase Department" regarding special machines in terms of project specific functionality, performance, safety requirements etc.
  • Coordination of all installation and construction matters such as timeline, milestones, meetings, unforeseen tasks, etc.

together with customer, building general contractor, sub-contractors and the Witron onsite construction team.

  • Communication and coordination of all project specific matters with the project managers, the PLC project manager and the IT project manager.
  • Helping to maintain the communication interface between our construction and logistics teams with the customer and the sub-contractors
  • Participate in construction meetings between the customer, Building GC and WITRON personnel.
  • Random checks and verifications of the project related documents such as safety training at the construction site.
  • Secondary checks of safety measures in the various construction areas. For WITRON companies and WITRON sub-contractors to make sure all safety measures are always being kept.
  • Verify and organize acceptance documents of the MHE installation according contract (sub-contractors and client). Prepare and assist project team with "Take Over".
  • Periodically traveling to the jobsites to support the onsite construction team.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of project management, construction and / or industrial automation
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform the task at hand
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working in construction management, project engineering or a related field.
  • BS in Construction Management, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred; or a 4-year degree in a related field required
  • Availability to travel frequently to locations in the United States and Canada
