We are looking for a Fullstack Software Intern to join our Simulation team. The goal of the Simulation Software engineer is to design and implement web applications, web APIs, and the associated infrastructure such as databases and DevOps. You will work with a broad range of technologies on use cases such as code generation, flight planning tools, simulation control applications, and data collection and visualization. 

Why we need you:

• The Simulation Software Intern is responsible for analyzing the needs of our simulation customers and supporting the design and implementation process to deliver new and maintain current simulation tools. You will support the integration of the company's subsystems into simulation by building efficient and intuitive software to automate and orchestrate as many processes as possible. 

• Identify opportunities and develop tools and web applications to improve the end-to-end UX of simulation.
• Collaborate with several IPTs (Integrated Product Team) for simulation usability, data collection, and analysis. 
• Build web applications and APIs to control, deploy, configure, and visualize simulation data and assets. 
• Support simulation development operations by maintaining and improving continuous integration, automated test and deployment systems in cloud-based development environments.

• A rising Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate student with a minimum GPA of 3.0 working towards a degree in CS, EE, AE, ME or other engineering discipline
• Completed a project with or are familiar with frontend languages (Javascript, Typescript, HTML, CSS), scripting / data analysis (Python) and at least one database type (SQL or NoSQL)
• Familiar with highly automated software development processes and modern tools (git, GitLab/GitHub, JIRA)
• Comfortable with Linux command line and Bash/Shell scripting
• Solved a problem that you identified and others benefited from

• Passionate about aviation and the future of transportation
• Familiar with modern web development libraries and frameworks (React, Vuejs, Angular, Svelte, etc)
• Familiarity with unit test frameworks (Jest)
• Experienced with configuration management, GitOps, and IaC tools (Terraform)
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS) and containerization (Docker, k8s)

• You are a highly motivated, self starting individual with a broad set of skills and never afraid of facing complex technical challenges
• You have the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• You have strong communication skills and can easily tailor your communications to suit the audience
• You can adapt quickly or propose changes needed to achieve early results in a timely fashion
• You embrace challenges and take commitments and deliver results within reasonable expectations
• You are a positive team player

Hourly rate will be $20 USD an hour.

This internship role will be based at Wisk's headquarters in Mountain View, California and relocation or housing will not be provided.

Must live in the US at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins

Must be either a rising sophomore, junior, or senior in college

Must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0, transcripts are required

Must be an enrolled student at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins

Must be able to work 40 hours a week for 10 weeks (full-time for 3 months)
