The Long-term Care Ombudsman program has immediate openings for motivated, assertive, Advocates to service the territory of the regional office for which it reports. The Advocate strives to protect the rights and dignity of residents (typically older adults) in skilled nursing and residential care facilities throughout the City and County of Los Angeles. This role ensures high-quality care and life for individuals residing in these facilities by providing advocacy services on their behalf. Such services involve monitoring visits, identifying and investigating complaints by or on behalf of residents, disseminating educational information, and witnessing health care directives.

A. Education
Preferred Requirement - Master's in Social Work (MSW). Master’s in Gerontology (MSG) may also be considered.
