Job Title: Cannabis Cultivation/Propagation Team Member
Job Summary:
As a Cannabis Cultivation/Propagation Team Member, you will play a vital role in the cultivation and propagation of cannabis plants. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal growth and development of cannabis plants from seedling to harvest. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to maintaining a high-quality and consistent supply of cannabis products.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cultivation and Propagation: Execute all aspects of plant cultivation and propagation, including cloning, transplanting, pruning, and harvesting, while adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory guidelines.
2. Plant Care: Monitor and maintain plant health by conducting regular inspections, identifying and addressing pests, diseases, and nutritional deficiencies, and implementing appropriate treatments or corrective measures.
3. Environmental Control: Monitor and adjust environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, light, and airflow to create optimal growing conditions for cannabis plants.
4. Data Collection: Accurately record and maintain data related to plant growth, environmental conditions, nutrient applications, and other cultivation activities. Assist in the preparation of reports as required.
5. Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all applicable local and state regulations governing cannabis cultivation, including inventory tracking, waste disposal, and safety protocols. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure a clean and compliant work environment.
6. Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the cultivation team, sharing knowledge, best practices, and assisting with tasks as needed. Contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
7. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new techniques in cannabis cultivation and propagation. Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional education in horticulture, botany, or related fields is a plus)
- Prior experience in cannabis cultivation, propagation, or horticulture is highly desirable
- Ability to follow SOPs and adhere to strict compliance requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks in a greenhouse or indoor cultivation facility
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the cultivation schedule
