We are looking for an Ophthalmic Technician to join our patient focused team. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, great multi-tasking abilities, and is a team player. Reliability and excellent attendance are a must.
Duties include patient preliminary exams include taking patient histories, visual acuity, pupil test, gross confrontational fields, lensometry, refractometry, and check intraocular disease processes. Equipment used (or knowledge of) includes OCT, Humphrey Visual Field, Tonometer, Icare, lol lens calculator, and topographer.
Prior experience working in an Ophthalmologist office preferred. Knowledge of manual refractors preferred. Certified Opthalmic Assistant preferred.
