Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, Inc. is Hiring a Senior Vice President - Industry Relations Near Madison, WI

Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin (DFW) is looking for a Senior Vice President of Industry Relations, a vital leadership role responsible for creating and maintaining key partnerships in the Wisconsin dairy industry and beyond, as well as supporting our senior leadership personnel by developing strategies and overseeing department projects or initiatives.

About DFW: We are a non-profit organization fully funded by the dairy farmers of Wisconsin. Our mission is to help Wisconsin’s dairy farm families thrive by building demand for products made in Wisconsin with Wisconsin milk.

About the Role: We are looking for a confident, detail-oriented, results-drivenperson with exceptional influencing skills to be our next Senior Vice President of Industry Relations. The successful candidate will lead relationship development with dairy and agriculture industry organizations, leaders, and influencers, ensuring that DFW and the farmers we represent have a seat at the table. They will also actively strive to build trust in Wisconsin dairy farmers while working to expand the markets for Wisconsin’s world-class dairy products.

The Senior Vice President of Industry Relations is responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with the federal and state checkoff laws and regulations and education without lobbying. This role also manages industry relations communications and promotes DFW through social media, press releases, and speeches at various functions and events and helps secure grants to expand the program, as well as collecting and analyzing data from industry partners, associations, and governmental agencies. About You: Qualified candidates must possess a knowledge of Wisconsin, dairy farming, and the U.S. dairy industry and be comfortable speaking confidently in front of a wide range of groups, including but not limited to industry peers, government representatives, and other business leaders. Demonstrated analytical, organizational, strategic, and computer skills are absolutely necessary. 

A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a similar field is preferred, along with at least ten years of senior management experience in public and/or industry relations, strategy, or marketing. 

Ideal candidates will also be prepared to positively contribute to a culture of unity and excellence at DFW by being hungry, humble, and smart.

About the Job & Benefits: This position will be located at our headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin. You should be willing to travel in-state about 50% of the time, including occasional weekends. Compensation consists of a competitive salary and benefits package that includes a company-funded 401k plan, as well as casual office attire.
