This position will be based out of our Spay/Neuter Clinic in West Allis. Full-time applicants have the option to work fully at the clinic or spend some of their time in our shelters! As a CVT at WHS, you will make an impact by supporting our awesome clients and their animals. You will hone your surgical skills while working alongside veterinary professionals and a management team dedicated to supporting your growth, development, and well-being.

The schedule for this position is first-shift and requires weekday availability until 5:30pm. WHS offers a competitive starting wage of $20-25/hour, financial support for continuing education and license renewal, plus we’re currently offering a signing bonus!
Job Responsibilities
- Surgical prep of patients and post-operative care
- Anesthetize, intubate, and extubate patients
- Monitor vitals under anesthesia and trouble-shoot anesthetic equipment as needed
- Calculate drug dosages; handle and track controlled substances
- Clean and maintain equipment, surgical quarters and animal areas as needed
- Ensure prompt and accurate paperwork procedures are followed
- Effectively communicate in a friendly and professional manner with co-workers and the public
- Provide excellent customer service
Qualifications
- Veterinary Technician Certification required
- Experience in a veterinary clinic and/or animal shelter preferred
- Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs repeatedly throughout the day

Signing Bonus
WHS is currently offering a signing bonus of up to $1,500. Eligible hires can earn $750 after 90 days of employment and additional $750 after 6 months for a total of $1,500!
