Position Title: Marketing Intern

Department: Marketing and Brand Strategy

Reports to: Senior Director, Digital Marketing

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary

The Marketing Intern will support WEDC in three areas: talent attraction network administration, social media, and competitive facts, data, and reporting.

Responsibilities

The Marketing Intern will spend a majority of their time in these activities:

• Talent Attraction Network Administration

• • Nurturing leads through Talent Attraction Program and facilitate connections with on-the-ground partners
  • Tracking communication with leads through CRM and with community partners
  • Ensuring quality control of Ambassador interaction with leads
  • Monitoring for and tracking trends—negative and positive—to apply a data-driven marketing mindset for continuous improvement
• Social media
• • Under the direction of the Digital Marketing Content Manager, research, write and prepare content for the following WEDC social media channels: Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Acquiring or designing visual elements to accompany posts
  • Participating and contributing to content planning
  • Posting content as directed
• Competitive facts, data and reporting
• • Tracking Talent Attraction Campaigns’ key performance metrics to maximize results and report progress
  • Capturing success stories and best practices from movers, partners, and others involved in the Talent Attraction marketing program
  • Maintaining and updating WEDC’s inventory of competitive facts that help distinguish Wisconsin as a desirable venue for building a life, growing a career, and starting or growing a business
• Additional activities supporting the WEDC Marketing & Brand Strategy leadership team as assigned.
