JOB SUMMARY

• Under the supervision of the Warehouse manager and Lead Person, Case and Layer Picker operates a forklift and loads and unloads trucks to perform the shipping or receiving functions of finished goods or raw materials, maintains prescribed stock rotation requirements; and sorts empty pallets. Operates Layer Picker. Be able to hand stack cases of product.

JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS(Note: The job functions relate to the job, not the individual)

• Hand stack and sort products.
• Scan Pick Slips and ASN/ Label Built Pallets.
• Monitor the quality of products or raw materials which are being shipped or received.
• Report any inconsistencies in the quality of materials shipped or received to management.
• Transport materials within the warehouse, and stack and unstack materials.
• Accurately complete required paperwork and documentation.
• Operate stretch wrap machines, as required.
• Sweep, mop and clean warehouse as directed.
• May operate a floor scrubber machine.
• Perform bailing of recyclable materials.
• Substitute for other employees, in other classifications, when needed.
• Ability to read and write basic English.
• Label and tag all full good pallets, record placement of full goods in warehouse.
• Follow all Food Safety and GMP Policies.

JOB DUTIES/MARGINAL FUNCTIONS(Not fundamental job duties)

• Sweep and mop warehouse.
• Perform bailing of recyclable materials.
• Operate a forklift truck to load or unload semi-trucks.

• Sort empty pallets and shells.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Requires ability to complete Forklift Operator’s training course and successfully pass test to obtain a Forklift Operator’s license.
• Previous experience with a forklift truck is helpful, but not necessary.
• Requires ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Requires the ability to communicate with management and other employees.
• Must possess legible handwriting skills.
• Must be able to work under a minimum of supervision.
