- Inspect products and equipment for conformity to sanitation laws and standards.
- Confer with management and production personnel on sanitation problems, and recommends changes in equipment, plant layout, lighting, ventilation, or work practices to improve sanitation standards and purity of product.
- Compile required reports regarding regular inspections, sanitation violations, and steps taken to resolve deficiencies.
- Develop housekeeping standards and monitor cleaning practices.
- Monitor conduction of sanitation equipment and report any deterioration conductions or mechanical concerns.
- Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on machines as needed.
- Assist in cleaning of non-production areas in facility.
- Recycle materials and sort waste.
- Interpret sanitation schedule and plan time to accommodate requirements, setting priorities.
- Perform assignments according to schedule, but also be able to think through and make correct decisions if a change is required.
- Work safely, follow safety requirements, and wear PPE where required.
- Safe/skilled usage of a forklift if necessary.
- Understand computer keyboard usage, commands, and basic troubleshooting.
- Understand sanitation theory and methodology.
- Keep detailed and accurate records.
- Requires the ability to drive a forklift and must pass forklift safety course.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
- Must be able to report to work on a consistent basis and be able to work well with others in a tam setting.
- Requires basic mathematical knowledge and computer skills.
- Must be able to tolerate hot temperatures for long periods of time.
- Must be able to take direction from a Lead and/or Supervisor.
