Wis-Pak Inc., a leader in the manufacturing and distribution of Pepsi-Cola, Mt. Dew, Bubblr, Klarbrunn and other leading beverages is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor at its production facility in Dyersburg, TN.

Under the direction of the Facility Manager, the Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for managing, developing and implementing operational procedures for the QA department, provides QA employees with proper training, and assures that all products and packages are produced within Wis-Pak and parent company specifications.

JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Note: The job functions relate to the job, not the individual)

1. Reports to the Facility Manager.
2. Manages and trains all department personnel and assigns work schedules for the department.
3. Maintains that all procedures, records and department policies are accurate and up to date.
4. Serves as the primary contact with Pepsi SCQM regarding quality specifications.
5. Responsible for leading PCNA audits.
6. Prepares and submits monthly micro testing reports and water samples to Pepsico.
7. Understands quality specifications, water treatment functions, and chemical handling.
8. Maintains adequate inventories of lab supplies, water treatment supplies, sanitation chemicals and product ingredients.
9. Maintains calibration records and upgrades testing equipment as necessary.
10. Participates on cross-functional project teams to improve processes, productivity, methods, food safety, and quality.
11. Ensures the compliance of all plant and food safety, HACCP, MP, and sanitation requirements.
12. Serves as the back up Production Scheduler for the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A minimum high school education (college courses helpful) with emphasis in math, physics and chemistry. Possess good problem-solving skills in math and science. A background in Quality Assurance is preferred.
• Must be able to read and write legibly.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company polices and applicable laws.
• Strong working knowledge of personal computing, including software products such as Windows, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, vendors, shareholders/customers, and other employees of the organization.
