We are seeking an experienced Property Maintenance Technician in Canton, MI to be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of the residential community, including performing repairs, responding to emergencies, and completing preventative maintenance tasks. Must possess a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and focus on maintaining a safe and attractive community.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare apartments for make-ready turns, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs.
• General Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks as needed to ensure the proper functioning of facilities and equipment.
• Conduct snow removal and maintain grounds, including common areas, to ensure safety and attractiveness.
• Be available for on-call duty to respond to after-hour emergency calls promptly.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC and other mechanical systems.
• Complete work orders for service requests, including plumbing, carpentry, and light electrical work.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of maintenance experience in multi-family/residential properties.
• Detailed knowledge of make-ready unit turns, including light carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Background in on-site maintenance management is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are mandatory.
• Have basic set of tools required.
• Must be responsible and reliable, with a positive, "get the job done" attitude is essential.
• HVAC certification is a plus.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Certification: HVAC certification is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
