2024 Volleyball Season

DEFINITION OF DUTIES: Head volleyball coach at high school level.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of volleyball in the following areas: Management of academic expectations, individual skill development, philosophy of team strategy with plan of implementation, experience and ability to effectively perform the duties of Head Coach as stated in the District Coaches Handbook/Head Coaching Responsibilities; ability to satisfactorily perform all physical requirements of assigned tasks with or without reasonable accommodation; previous successful experience at the high school level or higher; clear direction, goals, and objectives for program success; history of positive influence and interactions with players, coaches, support groups and parents; ability to communicate effectively with parents, administration, players and staff; ability to work with community youth programs; hold or ability to acquire a First Aid/CPR card; hold or ability to acquire ASEP/NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching, concussion, heat illness prevention, and steroid training. Other trainings required by Winston Dillard School District (safeschools). The ability to design a summer program that supports the DHS volleyball program. Mandatory attendance at post-season league meetings.
