Job Title: Quality Engineer
General Summary:Ensures the administration of Winsert’s Quality Management System by utilizing standard problem solving processes that are data driven, results oriented, and customer focused.Essential Job Functions:Lead APQP activities for all products in the prototype, pre-launch, and production phases of manufacturing; update APQP activities to ensure compliance to IATF/ISO standards
Review and update APQP, CAR, Risk Mitigation, and SPC data and assignments.
Support new Projects and Prototype Activities
Provide training on and implementation of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Root Causes Analysis, Gauging Techniques, Quality Tools, etc
Monitor process capability that meets customers’ requirements
Facilitate Six Sigma Quality Projects and Lean, Kaizen Continuous Improvement Projects
Perform MSA gage studies, Process Capabilities Studies
Maintain PFMEAs & PCPs
PPAP submittals
Quote new business opportunities with regards to the quality functionSecondary Job Functions:Assist with corrective action activities for both internal and external customers
Produce a positive trend in scrap reduction activities
Investigate alternative methods of gauging for the new demands on tighter tolerances
Layered Audits
Internal Audits
Lead/Support a continuous improvement effort
Review customer supplied data (layouts, capabilities, etc)
Support various gage programming activities (CMM, Formscan, etc)
Update and maintain SPC database
