Winnisquam Regional School District is Hiring a Special Education Teacher - Early Learning Center 24-25 SY Near Tilton, NH

Winnisquam Regional School District is seeking qualified candidates for a Special Education Teacher position split between our District Preschool Program and serving identified students at the local Charter School (Winnisquam Early Learning Center and Compass Classical Charter School respectively). Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:Preschool:•Create engaging/differentiated lessons for a variety of needs•Case Manage preschool students ensuring all timelines are followed•Monitor IEP goal data to determine if children are meeting benchmarks•Consistent communication with fellow teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families•Active participation in various meetings•Understanding of, or willingness to learn, Preschool Outcomes Measures (POMS), NHSEIS State Special Ed system and the related requirements of the State of NHCompass Classical Charter School:•Create and implement engaging/differentiated specially designed lessons in ELA (Reading and Writing) and Mathematics for a variety of learner needs across grade levels•Collaborate with WRSD Out of District Coordinator to write initial and annual IEPs for identified students on the caseload•Be a resource for implementing goals and accommodations/modifications to classroom teachers and support staff at the Charter School•Communicate student data/progress/needs and concerns with a variety of stakeholders, including staff, parents, Charter School administration, WRSD administration•Familiarity with NHSEIS State Special Ed data system helpful but not essentialQUALIFICATIONS: * BA in Special Education* NH Certification in Special Education* Knowledge of child and adolescent development* Knowledge of testing instruments and their application to the academic setting * Knowledge of research based instructional interventions* Ability to collaborate with professionals, parents, and community* Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects* Knowledge of the State of New Hampshire Rules and Regulations for Special Education
