Winnisquam Regional High School is seeking a Study Hall Monitor for the 2024-2025 academic year. Applicants must have the ability to use computers and maintain student confidentiality. This position involves dealing with students assigned to study hall periods, taking attendance, monitoring behaviors, covering classes, and all other duties as needed.Full time, 32.5 hours per week, school year position with benefits.Applications accepted until position is filled.Qualifications:* High school diploma or equivalent* Strong written and verbal communication skills* Previous experience working in a school setting preferredJob Duties:* Monitor students assigned to study hall periods, and provides academic assistance with assignments as needed* Organize and maintain files of instructional materials for students use as needed; maintain study and reference materials* Motivates reluctant learners to complete assignments.* Maintain regular contact with teachers regarding student progress and classroom assignments* Assists students with acquiring and utilizing instructional resources.* Maintains student records, attendance records and files.* Maintains discipline and a safe environment for students at all times.* Assists students with managing behaviors and resolving conflicts.* Communicates frequently with administrator regarding status, issues and needs.* Perform other clerical duties as required, and be an active supporting role to the functioning of the school* Interacts thoughtfully and courteously with students, staff and community.* Professionally represents the school and the District in interactions with parents, community, staff and students
