Windstar is currently seeking an experienced Manager of Entertainment and Engagement Operations who will be responsible to develop, implement and manage innovative, industry-leading programming to entertain and engage all guests onboard all Windstar vessels.

• Creates, develops, and implements overall entertainment and engagement concepts.
• Creates local entertainment and presenters programming schedule which includes local shows, local musicians, local workshops, regional presenter, and cultural ambassador. Source, coordinate and direct these local acts in collaboration with the in-house Product Development team, local operators, or specialized vendors.
• Manages and supervises the hiring/casting/contracting of the onboard Entertainment & Engagement Manager, Musicians and AV Managers positions. Oversees rotation schedule for the onboard positions.
• Assist shipboard management with cruise layout planning.
• Develops and maintains annual operating plan for entertainment operations.
• Manages the coding and approval of entertainment related invoices.
• Oversees operations of ships’ entertainment technical systems, including their specifications and design.
• Assist with content changes and maintenance of the onboard interactive television system.
• Manages the onboard background music and DJ program in collaboration with our music providers.
• Select and coordinate the onboard on-demand movies and other TV programs in collaboration with our TV content provider.
• In cooperation with the Purchasing Department, manages the procurement of entertainment related supplies, including books, games, prizes, props and AV equipment.
• Coordinates theme & focus cruise programming, charter and group sailings with Sales & Marketing and F&B departments.
• Coordinates activities of other entertainment staff as primary communicator with ship management.
• Performs additional projects and tasks as required.
• Ensures safe operations of vessels, compliance with SEMS and all regulatory authorities.
• Direct strategy for Onboard Entertainment and Engagement Programs and Activities and ensure that program quality and content meet or exceed acceptable standards.
• Supports development of new voyages.

• BA degree or equivalent and/or a minimum of 5 years of related experience in Entertainment Management in cruise or resort, preferably on Cruise ships.
• Must demonstrate strong technical knowledge of related systems and hardware.
• Must demonstrate the values of Windstar Cruises.
• Ability to travel extensively
• Must be independently eligible to work in the U.S.
