Shift: PRN

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 1 year of experience as a Cook
• At least 1 year of experience working in a Nursing Facility setting
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work well in routine job.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more and be able to walk alone, turn, pivot and bend as needed to perform all of the duties listed under “Responsibilities” of this job description.

JOB SUMMARY:

The purpose of this job is to keep dishes clean and ready for use.

Shift:

11:00AM-7:30PM

6:00AM-2:30PM

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepared and cook RESIDENT-specific meals as directed by dietitian.

• Handle and stored raw materials, cook food and non-food supplies, properly.
• Order, restock, and maintain inventories for kitchen supplies and equipment
• Clean sanitize, and organized kitchen area, tools, and utensils.
• Control size of food portions and maintained quality of all food items.

• Interpret and follow health department guidelines for food preparation and handling.
• Any additional duties assigned by Food Service Supervisor.

SPECIAL DEMANDS:

• Willingness to work for best interest of institution.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to work dish area individually and keep system moving.
• Ability to spot breakdown in cleaning operation resulting in unacceptable product.
• Alertness to problems in the machine that need immediate attention.

Job Type: PRN

Salary: $11.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Cooking: 1 year (Preferred)
• Restaurant Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
