WINDSOR CAPITAL GROUP is Hiring a Concierge Lounge Host Near Walnut Creek, CA

Purpose for the Position:

To receive cash from customers in payment for goods and services and record amounts received.


Essential Functions:

  • Recomputes or computes bill, itemized lists, and tickets showing amount due, using adding machine or cash register.
  • Makes change, cashes checks, and issues receipts to customers.
  • Records amounts received and prepares reports of transactions.
  • Reads and records totals shown on cash register tape and verify against cash on hand.
  • May be required to know value and features of items for which money is received.
  • May give cash refunds or issue credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise.
  • May sell candy, cigarettes, gum and gift certificates.
  • All other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.


Skills and Abilities:

Use math to figure costs and make change.

Use eyes, hands, and fingers at the same time to operate an adding machine, calculator, or personnel computer.

Deal with the public with tact and courtesy.

Perform work that is routine and organized.

Make decisions based on information that can be checked or verified.


Physical Demands:
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time), and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time), and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists from 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree, or requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls, or pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.


Environmental Conditions:
Inside: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. A job is considered “inside” if the worker spends approximately 75 percent or more of the time inside.

Reasoning Development: Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagrammatic form. Deal with problems involving a several concrete variables in or from standardized situations.


Mathematical Development: Add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure. Perform the four operations with like common and decimal fractions. Compute ratio, rate and percent. Draw and interpret bar graphs. Perform arithmetic operations involving all American monetary units.


Language Development: Reading: Passive vocabulary of 5,000 – 6,000 words. Read at a rate of 190-215 words per minute. Read instructions, rules, etc, looking up unfamiliar words in a dictionary for meaning, spelling and pronunciation.


Writing: Write sentences, using cursive style, proper punctuation and employing adjectives and adverbs.

Speaking: Speak clearly and distinctly with appropriate pauses and emphasis, correct pronunciation, variations in word order, using present, perfect, and future tenses.


Relationships to Data, People and Things:

Data: Computing: Performing arithmetic operations and reporting on and/or carrying out a prescribed action in relation to them. Does not include counting.

People: Signal - Speaking: Talking with and/or signalling people to convey or exchange information. Includes giving assignments and or directions to helpers and assistants.

Things: Operating – Controlling: Starting, stopping, controlling and adjusting the progress of machines or equipment. Operating machines involves setting up and adjusting the machine or materials as the work progresses. Controlling involves observing progress of operations and turning devises to regulate reactions of material.


Specific Vocational Preparation:


Specific Vocational Preparation includes an occupationally significant combination of: vocational education, apprentice training, in-plant training, on-the-job training, or essential experience in less responsible jobs which lead to the higher job or serving in other jobs.
