We are searching for a Speech Language Pathologist who is passionate about working with young people and helping them to prepare for the future. Applicants must be certified (or eligible for certification) by the Vermont AOE as a Speech Language Pathologist. Successful candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in the Google platform. Ability to monitor student progress and adjust programs accordingly.Ability to write speech/language IEP goals, objectives and evaluation reports.Collaborate with other professionals within the school’s Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) as appropriate to support specialized learning outlined in the IEP.Build positive relationships with parents/guardians and maintain consistent communication about the IEP process, including documenting contact, facilitating meetings, creating amendments and all other IEP documentation requirements.Knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations for IEP compliance.Responsible for building positive relationships with students, parents and other community partners.Works with classroom teachers to select, design/modify classroom services (including learning activities, instructional groupings, lesson plans, educational materials, curricula, assessments, teaching strategies, and the like) for assigned students designed to promote the academic, vocational, physical and social development needs of students, adhering to accommodations as appropriate. Acquire and exhibit working knowledge of Special Education program operating procedures and routines and current best practices in Speech/Language pathology and other professional related areas as assigned. May participate in conferences, and meetings as appropriate or assigned.
