JOB SUMMARY

Performs echocardiography examinations according to departmental procedures. Assures the effective daily operation of the Echocardiology department.

Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited Echocardiography program.
Experience: Two (2) years experience in a hospital setting. Four (4) years experience in a hospital setting, and ICAEL accreditation experience preferred.
License and Certification: Board certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required. Ability to obtain and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate information. Basic computer skills (including opening/reading email, basic internet use). Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with departments, employees, physicians and managers. Works efficiently and organizes time appropriately. Ability to prioritize daily work assignments.

PROBLEM SOLVING AND DECISION MAKING
Requires a high level of analytical ability in order to gather and interpret information from various sources. Able to take appropriate action in response to changes, circumstances and problems. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
