The Windham Central Supervisory Union seeks a full-time Speech and Language Pathologist to join our team for the 2024-25 school year.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Evaluating and diagnosing speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
-Assessing levels of swallowing, speech, and language difficulty
-Identifying treatment options based on individual needs
-Developing individualized treatment plans to address student needs
-Providing therapy to improve speech production, voice quality, fluency, and language skills
-Working with students to strengthen muscles pertaining to speech and swallowing
-Teaching students strategies to enhance communication and cope with disorders
-Collaborating with family members, school staff, and other team members to increase generalization of skills
-Maintaining accurate records of evaluations, diagnoses, and student progress
-Accurate documentation for Medicaid, IEP, and 504 Plans
Skills and Qualifications:
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Knowledge of speech-related conditions and therapies
-Ability to adapt to rural settings and travel between schools
Education/Certification:
-Must be licensed by the State of Vermont and the Agency of Education (Educational Speech Language Pathologist)
