KENNEL TECHNICIAN JOB DESCRIPTION

Our kennel technician position is our entry-level position into the professional dog care world, with advancement opportunities in both the boarding/daycare, management, and training sides of the business. This position is a fun but physically demanding job working on our beautiful dog ranch between Lolo and Florence, MT.

Job duties include:

· Caring for up to 50 dogs per day. This includes food, water, administering basic medications and supplements, walks, and individual attention for dogs in our care

· Creating cohesive play groups for our daycare, boarding, and training clients during the day

· Cleaning and maintenance of the kennel facility, including minor repair work and seasonal tasks

· Customer service, including: accepting and returning phone calls and emails, scheduling boarding and daycare reservations, creating invoices and taking payments, checking customers in and out, etc.

· Assisting trainers in reinforcing and maintaining good behaviors for dogs in our board & train programs. This means learning training techniques and appropriate and safe use of various training tools

· For overnight shifts – Remain on-call in our provided staff quarters to ensure the safety of our overnight boarding and training clients.

We work outside in all seasons and weather conditions! Proper attire, reliable transportation and good physical condition are a must.

Candidates will participate in a phone interview and on-site job shadow prior to the offer.

Salary starts at $14.50/hour.
