Winco Stamping is Hiring a CNC Programmer Near Menomonee Falls, WI

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for the safe and efficient CamWorks programming, machine setup, and training of operators on all aspects of CNC operations.

Shift hours are 7 am to 4 pm including a paid lunch. 

Starting wage range: $24/hour

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set-up machines: install tool registers and fixtures, adjust for offsets and compensation, and establish machine control settings
  • Run first piece sample parts and make necessary adjustments to ensure part specification and quality standards are maintained
  • Troubleshoot problems, respond to alarm, retrace program to locate problems, and make the necessary corrections
  • Train operators in running production jobs monitoring their rates and parts quality
  • Generate CNC programs using CamWorks
  • Support Engineering on new tool builds
  • Improve current tooling components by tracking tool life, tool speeds, and tool types
  • Maintain a clear PM schedule for all CNC’s
  • Work with Facilities Manager to grow automation program
  • Serve as a backup in engineering and tooling departments 
  • Sustain 5S and lean manufacturing
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations
  • Notify management of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, and/or personal injuries
  • Wear personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

SPECIFICATIONS

Required

  • Proficiency in CamWorks
  • Must be self-directed and can work with minimal supervision
  • High School or GED Diploma
  • High level math skills including advanced algebra and geometry 
  • Experience and competency in the use of measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
  • Effective oral communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, reach, climb, crawl, balance, move skids with a pallet jack, pack and unpack, and stand/remain active for 8 hours
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, operating instructions, and general policies

Preferred

  • Technical Degree in Design, Machining, and Programming
  • Tool Design, Wire EDM and laser programming 
  • Understanding of G&M Codes, Fanuc CNC controls
  • MicroVu Experience
  • Bi-Lingual in Spanish
