The Winchester High School is looking for a 0.6 Special Educaiton ESP for the upcoming school year supporting special education students in our co-taught and upper level classes.
In order to be a successful WHS ESP, you will need to:
- Be a student-centered ESP with a growth mindset that has the ability to focus on building/ supporting trusting and collaborative connections with students.
- Have a desire to support high school special education students in the general education classroom, Learning Center as well as small group settings or in specialized programs.
- Be comfortable supporting high school teachers in multiple disciplines and in multiple classes
- Have an understanding of how to help implement IEP accommodations and modifications in the general education classroom or ability to learn quickly
- Collaborate with general education teachers, special education teachers, related services providers and the student
- Be on time, present and active in the classroom as a support and role model for students
- Be technoloigcially savvy and have an understanding of the google suite including google docs, google sheets, gmail and google calendar
- Be flexible and collaborative
Winchester High School is a comprehensive high school that works to meet the needs of all learners. WHS serves over 1,350 students in grades 9-12. We strive to create a well-developed curriculum that reflects a focus on the whole student as we endeavor to prepare all students to be ready and successful for any path they choose when they leave our halls. We are looking for a collaborative and supportive Education Support Personnel (ESP) to join our team.
