Summary:
Primary responsibility is teaching physics at the high school level. The ideal candidate will have earned a master's degree in Physics or a master's degree in any field with 18 graduate hours in Physics.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be eligible for a Virginia teaching license with a Physics endorsement. License eligibility may be met through any of the following routes:

• Completed an approved teacher preparation program in physics;
• Hold a bachelor's degree in physics from an accredited institute;
• Completed 32 semester hours in physics coursework; or
• Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institute with at least 5 years of documented full-time experience in physics/engineering and pass the content assessment prescribed by the VDOE

Salary:
Range for the 2023-2024 school year is $51,000 to $75,887 with additional supplemental pay for a graduate degree. The pay scale may change due to the 2024-2025 budget.
Workday:
Full time / 10 month/ 200 Day Contract Monday through Friday
