WinCare, Inc. seeks a motivated individual looking for a FULL time position in a durable medical equipment office. We provide enteral nutrition supplies/incontinence etc.. to home clients throughout the state of North Carolina. The employee needed for this position is motivated and able to multitask. The applicant will be responsible for verifying patient's insurance coverage and obtaining authorization for requested services as required. Daily task will require follow up with doctors' offices and timely paperwork. Due to the sensitivity of our clients' needs ALL task are time sensitive. Applicant must be able to manage all task and duties on a set schedule.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for verifying patient's insurance coverage and obtaining authorization for requested services as required.
2. Monitors outstanding authorization requests and initiates follow up of authorizations in a timely manner.
3. Communicates any insurance related issues in a timely manner.
4. Communicates with insurance companies, patients and health care providers to obtain necessary information and resolve issues related to insurance coverage.
5. Develop basic reimbursement knowledge and completely document all information necessary to ensure reimbursement for all appropriate equipment, products and services. Maintain working knowledge of products offered by our company.
6. Manage and work daily tasks based on set time frame guidelines, which will include obtaining renewal paperwork from providers’ offices for authorization continuation.
7. Upload documentation as insurance requires to support the supplies billed to insurance.
8. Comply with all applicable company policies and procedures.
9. Submit authorization renewal requests and follow-up as needed.
10.Confirm renewal of grant approvals.
11.Verify and update patients’ accounts as insurance changes are identified.
12.Other duties deemed necessary for Company.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Ability to upload, perform basic accounting functions, maintain records, good typing and telemarketing skills.
2. Strong work ethic, very detail oriented, able to multi-task, communicate effectively and be a dependable team player.
3. 2-4 year’s HME billing
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
1. Possess high school diploma.
2. Skills: MS Excel, Word and typing.
3. At least two years’ experience in medical/healthcare related office experience.
4. Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
