JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Catholic Chapel Musician to perform organist, pianist, and keyboard musician services at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Chapel at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. This role is pivotal in supporting the spiritual and communal activities within the chapel through music.

MAIN OBJECTIVES

• Coordinate musical arrangements with the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) prior to conducting any rehearsals or services.
• Maintain instruments and apprise the COR of any malfunctions and necessary maintenance.
• Perform at two Sunday worship services and conduct two hours of choir rehearsals per week.
• Provide support for up to 20 special services annually, including Holy Days, funerals, and other observances.

SCHEDULE OF WORK

• Sunday services at 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
• Choir rehearsals every Wednesday at 4:00 PM and Sunday at 10:00 AM.
• Additional special services as scheduled throughout the year.

PLACE OF PERFORMANCE
St. Francis Xavier Catholic Chapel, Bldg. 17, Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, and other sites as coordinated for special services.

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE
Base period of 12 months with one 12-month option period.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to sight-read music and play piano or keyboard.
• Familiarity with liturgical or contemporary worship service formats.
• Minimum of two years of experience playing in a church congregation.
• Proficiency in playing liturgical or contemporary Christian music.
