Wilvet Salem is a 24-hour Emergency Veterinary hospital. We offer the best in care and pride ourselves not just how well we treat our patients, but how we treat each other and our clients as well. We are looking for a team player who can exist well in chaotic and stressful situations while remaining level-headed and professional. This individual needs to be highly motivated, a fast learner, able to work on their own as well as with others, have great communication skills, show compassion and attention to detail, excel in both focus and multitasking and be able to take direction well. Experience in typing, cash management, and multiline phone systems is needed. Experience in the field is preferred. Candidates need to be skilled at learning quickly, taking notes, and be prepared to make study time outside of their scheduled training shifts to review their training materials.
This is hard work but the rewards are immense. You are the first and the last contact with owners who are trusting us with their fur baby's lives. So much of what this job is involves helping owners navigate their time with us. As we move some of our current receptionists into nursing, we are looking for someone who will help grow our team and support our goals and values. We do have a $1 overnight differential which applies to hours worked from 5pm to the next morning/end of shift. The needs of the hospital may change but we are currently looking for someone with an open schedule and flexibility in shifts.
