Wilson Steel-Fab and Machine is Hiring a Laser Operator Near Mount Pleasant, MI
Responsibilities:
- Utilize forklift (primarily) and overhead crane (sometimes) to handle material.
- Load proper material into the machine and unload processed parts.
- Operate and troubleshoot machine parameters to ensure part quality and accuracy.
- Utilize prints and work instructions to determine cutting specifications.
- Operate the controls, program movement, and cycle speed of the machine.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance and efficiently set up multiple jobs per day.
- Measure material and stack parts on pallets.
- Follow the production schedule and priorities.
- Maintain, clean, and organize the work center area and material stocking racks.
- Use power and hand tools as needed.
- Assist on other machines, or within other departments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of Laser Operator experience.
- Minimum 1 year of Forklift experience.
- Proficient and accurate with precise measuring equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
