Spray Technician City of Wilson Arkansas

The Spray technician is a full-time, year-round position. Primary responsibilities include implementing Agronomic programs for the Golf Course Maintenance and Landscaping departments. Duties include the application of chemicals and fertilizer on Tin House golf course and Wilson City common areas. The Spray Technician is responsible for reading, understanding, and keeping current with all labels and material Safety Data Sheets. Must also maintain up-to-date and accurate application records. Candidates should possess a minimum of a high school diploma. Wonderful opportunity for recent graduates of AA or BS in Agronomy or related fields.

A spray technician must possess the following qualifications:

  • Highly effective communication skills and record-keeping
  • Eye for detail
  • Knowledge of chemicals, insects, turf diseases, grasses, and weeds
  • Ability to Implement Integrated Pest Management practices.
  • Maintain product inventory with appropriate recordkeeping.
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Calibration and use of spreaders and sprayers
  • Safety-oriented and promotes a safe work environment.
  • Required to lift 50 lbs and work outside in cold and hot weather.
  • Flexible work schedule to work weekends and holidays.
  • A 2- or 4-year degree in Turf Management is preferred.
  • Past golf course/landscape spraying experience a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 per hour
