Chestnut Enterprises is a division of Wilmington Shipping Company. We are a small company, with a fast-paced environment that has been in business for over 80 years. The logistics industry is considered essential and we never shut down during the pandemic. We are seeking one and maybe a second employee to join our team.

This role involves a multitude of responsibilities including the repair of Intermodal containers and forklift operation. We are looking for an individual with viable experience in this field to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on intermodal containers, as well as, blasting and painting the units. The inspection of units and operating a forklift will also be part of the daily activities. The ideal individual for this role will have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. On-the-job training will be provided, however, experience welding and operating a forklift are a plus. We are open to alternative schedules. We can accommodate part-time.

Drug screen and background check required.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair intermodal containers.
• Blast and paint intermodal containers.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing containers.
• Operate a forklift to move and stack containers.
• Maintain organization on the depot yard.
• Cross training in other divisions of the depot is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
