The Groundskeeper/General Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring that the physical aspects of the community are maintained, and standards are met regarding the grounds, amenities, and overall curb appeal. That the work activities are completed with quality, efficiency, and attention to detail. The Groundskeeper/General Maintenance Technician is to ensure the property is well-functioning, clean, orderly, and attractive always. The Groundskeeper/General Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining the functionality of the operational aspects of the program. The Groundskeeper/General Maintenance Technician will complete duties assigned by the Facilities Manager and maintain all facility documentation logs. The maintenance team is ultimately responsible for the aesthetics and safety of Willow Springs Recovery.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Mowing lawns
Trimming hedges
Watering plants
Installing and maintaining sprinklers and irrigation systems
Preparing outdoor areas for various weather conditions by weatherproofing, covering outdoor furniture with tarps, tying down unsecured items, etc.
Maintaining gardens and lawns, including planting, fertilizing, weeding, soil conditioning, mulching, and applying pesticides
Operating and maintaining garden and landscaping equipment
Execution of work orders for on-time completion and to high standards of quality
Communicate with Supervisor to coordinate the scheduling of assigned work orders.
Daily adherence Willow Springs Recovery’s accreditation standards and ensuring all facilities areas and equipment are maintained.

Knowledge: The incumbent will:
Possess a basic knowledge of administrative functions including interpersonal communications, office etiquette, and computer skills.
Possess a strong work ethic and high standards of workmanship.
Possess effectiveness in building/organizing department training and quality control standards within the operations department.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PREFERENCES: The following requirements and preferences will be evaluated and verified to establish employment eligibility.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Familiarity with sprinkler systems and other landscaping equipment
Knowledge of gardening techniques
Knowledge of guarding products such as fertilizers and pesticides
Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods of time.
A Valid driver’s license.
Have dependable transportation.
At least One year of sobriety if in recovery.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Customer-oriented and friendly.
Working quickly without compromising quality
Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
