Music artists (Guitar Teacher):

Willow Glen Music School is looking for experienced, enthusiastic artists to teach both in person and virtual guitar. Being able to teach beginner ukulele is a plus. Ideal candidates are comfortable working with beginners and children.

Artists work between 1-4 days per week, providing flexibility with additional work or academic schedules. This is a part-time independent contractor position. This is a great opportunity for independent music teachers who want to be able to work on your own schedule.

Required Qualifications - A successful candidate has:

• Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience
• Experience creating and implementing lesson plans
• Clear communication skills; ability to respond to emails with school administration in a timely manner
• Ability to demonstrate instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of all learners
• Ability to organize age appropriate activities for the purpose of ensuring student engagement and participation
• Lesson plans that support equity, inclusion and diversity
• Dependable means of transportation

We are also looking for someone who is:

• Punctual, organized, and adaptable to both online and in person teaching
• A diplomatic, clear, and effective communicator and has the ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively

Candidates selected for an interview will be asked to prepare a sample lesson for a young beginner (instrument of your choice) and conduct a virtual lesson.

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
