Willis-Knighton Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant with Cardiology experience. The MA will provide nursing care to patients in the physician offices under the supervision of the clinic Physician.

• The job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following : Perform EKGs, vital signs including manual blood pressures;
• assess the health status of patients; collaborate with the physician and nursing staff to establish care procedures; contribute to the planning of appropriate nursing interventions;
• assist patients with activities of daily living; document patient assessment; communicate pertinent information regarding patient condition to other members of the health care team;

and provide information to patient / family regarding disease process or diagnostic procedures. A Louisiana MA license is a requirement for this position and previous cardiac experience is preferred.
