INVENTORY CLERK
PURPOSE OF JOB POSITION
Under the direct supervision of the Executive Chef for Food & Beverage, responsible for activities engaged in receiving, storing, controlling and issuing food and supplies. Is responsible for all food purchasing, paper goods, liquor and supply orders.
PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
. Inventory all items needed for the menus for Oak Room, Bistro, and
Grumpy’s and special events
. Inventory all china for Oak Room, Bistro, Grumpy’s, Ballroom and
Special Events
. Receives all food and supplies, checking for expiration dates
. Maintain records of all invoices, receipts, as well as checks for
liquor
. Responsible for daily issue of food items from refrigerators,
freezer, and dry storage
. Responsible for physical inventory of all food items in dry
storage, freezer, refrigerator as defined by order guide and menus.
Reports this information to Executive Chef or Sous Chef to order
. Responsible for ordering fresh produce and seafood as needed
. Assists in changes for par level needs on order guide
. Responsible for maintaining refrigerator, freezer and dry storage
in a clean, neat and orderly manner.
. Rotates inventory of dry storage, refrigerator, freezer based on
dates and labels. Maintains dates and labels in storage areas
. Assists with special events, bar tending, and all other duties as
assigned by management.
. Compliance with the policies and procedures of the Tower at The
Oaks of Louisiana.
. Understands and demonstrates adherence to the Tower Food & Beverage
quality standards.
KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
High School graduate or graduate equivalency.
Will have basic understanding of safety and sanitation regulations
relative to foodservice operations
One year experience in food service preferred.
