Many of the USA’s most respected military aircraft – the A-10, F-16, F-18, F-22, F-35, and V-22 – use WilliamsRDM test equipment, cabling, and connector to keep them flying. The company is also proud to manufacture a simple, affordable line of residential fire suppression products – StoveTop FireStop – that protects more than a million American families each day.

WilliamsRDM is looking for a Document Control Coordinator to be responsible for the control of engineering, production, and quality documentation.

Job Responsibilities:

Consistently follow all quality and company procedures and regulations

Consistently communicate with other stakeholders

Continuously pursue process or continuous improvement opportunities

Maintains all Engineering and Production Bill of Materials, Travelers, and Work Order Packages.

Maintains corporate business documentation such as PIAs, NDAs, Contracts, Agreements, etc.

Responsible for Item Card creation in conjunction with Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing.

Responsible for BOM creation with assistance from Engineering, Production, and Purchasing.

Responsible for the creation and control of Engineering Changes and Requests.

In conjunction with the Quality Assurance Department, will help control AS/ISO documentation and releases.

Participate in the Bid Review process.

Assist in compiling the Bid & Proposal package.

Create release drawings for the Defense Assembly Department

Maintain QMS documentation, assist in preparation of internal and external audits.

Education & Training:

A High School Diploma and Document Control Training. Some college coursework preferred, but not required.

Skills & Experience:

At least three to five years of total experience. Exposure to Document Control systems preferred.
Manufacturing experience and/or document control experience in machining and electro/mechanical assembly; preferably in a lean manufacturing environment.
In addition, must have had exposure to Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality departments and requirements.
Experience using ERP and MRP software, ideally Intuitive ERP System.
Desired Experience:
Experience in defense industry or with US government/ military contract manufacturing.
General knowledge of complying with AS/ISO9100 standards and manufacturing quality systems.

Abilities/Traits:

Communicate frequently, clearly, and effectively at all levels, in writing and verbally.
Demonstrate discretion regarding sensitive documentation and information.
Organize work for self and others.
Develop a system or process to ensure timely creation of BOMs, travelers, etc.
Maintain organized tracking/status information for ECRs and ECOs.
Be accountable for meeting deadlines.
Use a computer including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.) and ERP/MRP.
Handle multiple projects/tasks effectively in a fast-paced often high-pressure environment.
Read and understand engineering drawings, bill of materials and product/process specifications
